Crust & Cocktails at 1256 Weathervane Lane in Akron’s Merriman Valley pours 23 wines, most by the glass or the bottle, plus Laluca Prosecco, 18 bottled beers and craft cocktails. Most glasses are $10 to $15. Mixed nuts, crostini and a charcuterie board are on the menu to share.
The wine list is printed on the drink menu, and the antipasti include plates made for sharing over a glass. The long bar has stools, so a glass at the bar works as well as a table.
The photo at the top of this page was edited with AI from a real photo of the Crust & Cocktails dining room. The three glasses were added digitally and do not show a particular bottle from the list.
The white side of the list runs ten bottles and moves around the map. Chardonnay comes three ways: Annabella from Sonoma, Bodega Diamandes from Argentina and Elizabeth Rose from Napa. Sauvignon Blanc comes three ways too: Miha from New Zealand, Selby from Sonoma and Dourthe’s Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc from France. Banfi San Angelo is a Tuscan Pinot Grigio, Wildblumen a German Riesling, Bieler Pere a rosé from France and Rambam an Italian Moscato.
Thirteen reds lean on Cabernet and Tuscany. Cabernet comes from Napa in Caymus and Sailor’s Grave, from Washington State in Greenwing and from California in Ocnautic. Tuscany sends Castello di Albola Chianti and two red blends, Dogajolo and Sella Antica. Arius and Giapoza are California Pinot Noirs, Dante a California Merlot, Almarada an Argentine Malbec, Chateau Tayet a red Bordeaux and Prisoner a Napa red blend.
Laluca Prosecco from Italy is the one sparkling wine on the list.
The bottled list has eighteen beers, ciders and seltzers: Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite, Mich Ultra, Corona, Modelo, Peroni, Stella Artois, Blue Moon, Rhinegeist Truth, Columbus Bodhi Double IPA, Brew Dog Elvis Juice and an alcohol-free Elvis Juice, a Great Lakes seasonal, Downeast Cider, Sun Cruiser and Carbliss.
Craft cocktails are made at the bar. The cocktail card is not published here, so ask the bartender what is on it.
The antipasti that suit a glass are Wine Bar Mixed Nuts, the Charcuterie Board with three chef’s-choice cheeses, prosciutto, a cured meat, pickled vegetables, crackers and grapes, the Tuscan Fig & Cheese Crostini with prosciutto, fig jam and goat cheese, the Herb-Whipped Ricotta Crostini, and Burrata Bruschetta.
By the glass, most of the list sits between $10 and $15. Wildblumen and Almarada are $10. Miha, Bieler Pere, Bodega Diamandes, Arius, Castello di Albola and Ocnautic are $11. Annabella, Banfi San Angelo, Dourthe, Dante, Dogajolo, Greenwing and Sella Antica are $12. Selby, Elizabeth Rose and Giapoza are $14, and Chateau Tayet is $15.
The occasion bottles are Sailor’s Grave at $24 a glass or $74 a bottle, Prisoner at $30 or $92, and Caymus at $36 or $108. Elsewhere, bottles run $28 to $43, Laluca Prosecco is $9 a glass or $24 a bottle, and Rambam Moscato is listed at $6.
On the food side, the mixed nuts and both crostini are $9, Burrata Bruschetta is $12 and the Charcuterie Board is $19. Bottled beer and seltzers are $4 to $6. Cocktail prices are not printed on a page we can publish, and no drink promotion is advertised here.
Order at the bar or from a table. Wine by the glass means everyone at a table can pick something different.
The bar keeps the room’s hours: Mon–Thu 4–11pm, Fri 4pm–12am, Sat 11am–12am, Sun 11am–9pm. Friday and Saturday run until midnight for a late glass.
