About the role
Crust & Cocktails is a 55-seat room in Liberty Commons off Weathervane Lane on Akron's northwest side, with a kitchen, a bar and a floor covered by a small team. Bartenders build craft cocktails one at a time and pour a compact wine list for guests at the bar.
What you will do
- Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Execute craft cocktails with precision
- Demonstrate menu knowledge and make recommendations to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining room
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions
- Follow all alcohol service and food safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor staff
What you need
- Must meet Ohio requirements for serving alcohol
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Previous serving or bartending experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items throughout a shift
Nice to have
- Knowledge of common bar drinks, liquors, beer, and wine
- POS system fluency
- 2+ years of high-volume bartending experience
